Artist Statement

If you want to know how I see the world, just look at all of my photography. The theme in all my work is “Through My Eyes”. My goal is to show everybody the world the way I see it. Every single photo I take is apart of me. I put all my emotions, feelings and thoughts in all of my work, even if it isn’t my best photo it is still apart of me. My photography isn’t just a snapshot of a dog or a snapshot of my friends, I try and create some really nice fine art photography that has some meaning.

Just like one of my favorite photographer Alfred Einsteindat, not all of my work looks the same. But I do have a distinctive style that is all mine. My style is created my reusing my favorite tools in Photoshop. My style is very high contrast, it has a lot of warmer tones, and it is always really fun to look at. My photography always has an exciting focus points, whether it’s a fairy, an orange cow, or just some of my friends having fun.

Ever since I’ve been a little girl I’ve been around photography. My great-grandma was a well-known photographer and she was the one who introduced me to this passion I have. My great-grandma Mary has millions of slides. She took photos while she was traveling the world. All those slides are in my house and I’ve taken the responsibility to scan all of her photos onto the computer so she will never be forgotten.

Right away I knew that I had a passion for the camera. Weather it was posing for the camera or getting behind the lends. My own personal goal is to live up to my great- grandma Mary’s great work. She is the one who inspires me to keep going on and to my full potential as a great photographer. She is my role model and I know I would make her proud. So bring on the challenge I am up for anything.
